From the Torres Basecamp, the entrance to the Valle del Silencio (Valley of Silence) is a two hour hike north through the Japanese Camp and then west along another moraine. The weather was windy with scattered rain and snow - about par for the course - and we had a long hike ahead of us later that day, so I didn't make it as far up this valley as I would have liked.
